Warner Bros. Television is locking up Andrew Kreisberg.
The prolific producer behind the studio’s DC Comics fare has signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. TV, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Under the multiple-year pact, Kreisberg will develop new projects for the studio and serve as the lone showrunner on The Flash, The CW’s most watched series ever, as well as as an executive producer on Arrow and the network’s midseason crossover series, Legends of Tomorrow. Additionally, Kreisberg is serving as co-showrunner on CBS’ DC Comics take Supergirl alongside Ali Adler, who developed the series with EP Greg Berlanti.
Kreisberg has been a valuable addition for Berlanti. The latter’s studio-based Berlanti Productions banner currently has six series on the air, including NBC’s Blindspot and The Mysteries of Laura.
The deal is Kreisberg’s first overall. The writer-producer’s credits also include working with Berlanti and Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim on Eli Stone, as well as working on David E. Kelley’s Boston Legal, The Simpsons and Hope & Faith. He’s repped by WME.
Kreisberg marks a key signing for WBTV, where he joins a roster of creatives that includes Berlanti, Bruno Heller (Gotham), Damon Lindelof (The Leftovers) and Julie Plec (Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Containment), as well as The Big Bang Theory‘s Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro, among others.
