Anthony Bregman is pushing further into television.
Bregman and his Likely Story production company have inked a first-look TV deal with Anonymous Content. The news arrives as Bregman’s Likely Story is executive producing Netflix’s straight-to-series comedy Living With Yourself, starring Paul Rudd.
The deal reunites Bregman with Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin after the duo previously collaborated on the Oscar-winning Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004).
Likely Story is a bicoastal film and TV production company founded by Bregman and Stefanie Azpiazu in 2006. Likely Story vp scripted television Jeff Stern will oversee the deal for the company.
“We’re thrilled and honored to partner with Steve Golin and Anonymous Content, who have become remarkable forces of nature in this industry,” Bregman said Wednesday in a statement. “They consistently generate unique and visionary material, support courageous artistic choices, show integrity in their dealmaking, nurture creative relationships that last for decades and are behind all of our favorite shows.”
Anonymous Content’s rapidly growing TV slate features Netflix’s Emma Stone and Jonah Hill drama Maniac, Amazon’s Julia Roberts vehicle Homecoming, Hulu’s George Clooney and Kyle Chandler take on Catch-22, Apple’s Dickinson and more. The company has first-look deals in place with Paramount TV, Liza Chasin’s 3dot, Sugar 23 and The New York Times, among others. Anonymous Content’s credits include True Detective, Mr. Robot, Schitt’s Creek, Counterpart, 13 Reasons Why and The Alienist, among others.
Likely Story’s feature film slate includes Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights, Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things and more.
