Starling City will have a new arrival when Arrow returns in January.
Marc Singer will appear in episode 14, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Singer, star of the 1982 cult classic The Beastmaster, will play General Matthew Shrieve beginning the in the 14th episode of season three. In the comics, Shrieve is the leader of the Creature Commandos, a team of superhumans who first fought in World War II.

Singer will appear in a flashback storyline.
Episode 14 will air several weeks after Arrow returns on Jan. 21, and it is already shaping up to be a big episode. Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) will also be making his return in the episode.
Arrow airs on the CW Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
