AT&T said Sunday that it has reached a new carriage agreement with Scripps Networks.
The news comes two days after AT&T U-verse customers lost Scripps channels HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel and Great American Country as a result of the programming dispute.
The two companies had been locked in talks for a while overhow much AT&T, which has 2.7 million U-verse video subscribers, should pay for Scripps and how extensively it can use the programming.
On Sunday, AT&T said in a statement: “We’re very satisfied that this is a fair deal that benefits our U-verse customers. The terms and costs of the deal recognize our growing subscriber base and give us the tools and content rights to compete with all other providers. We are very grateful to our customers for their support.”
