If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Perhaps that is exactly what was going through AshLee’s mind after she was sent home by Bachelor Sean Lowe on Monday’s episode.
The 32-year-old personal organizer from Houston, TX, was not given a rose after the fantasy dates in Thailand. Instead of trying to convince Sean to keep her, or breaking down in tears in front of him, she simply walked off and told him not to follow her. She let him say a few words before she got into the car, but she said nothing in response.
“I was so lost for words. I didn’t know what to say,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “That was my natural, human reaction towards being completely blindsided.”
AshLee got into the van and broke down once she was out of sight of Sean.
She tells The Hollywood Reporter that after her overnight date with Sean, she was convinced that she had solidified her place in the final two. “I had just heard four days earlier that I had nothing to worry about. And I remember him leaving and the look upon his face. I was like, ‘He’s in love. I got this,’” she says.
But Sean apparently didn’t have enough love for AshLee, because he decided to keep the other two finalists, Catherine and Lindsay.
AshLee, who spoke with THR before the show aired on Monday, says that she’ll watch the heart-wrenching episode with her girlfriends, who have been very supportive through the whole experience. She adds that her friends all say they wish they had seen more of her funny side on the show.
AshLee has definitely come off as the most serious — and sometimes controlling — of the final three. She says she was like that with Sean about “65 percent of the time” because she saw this as an investment in her future and a path to engagement. But she adds that she did have fun, too. “I mean, you can’t have three funny people at the end. I get it,” she adds.
Since the show wrapped, AshLee has gone straight back to work, but she still hopes that love is in her near future. “I really want to dive in again. Everything I did with Sean, I would do all over again. No regrets,” she says. “This changed my life, and it changed it for the better.”
If AshLee has thought of anything to say to Sean, she’ll have her chance at the “Women Tell All” special airing on March 4.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
