He joins Big Brother U.K. host and radio DJ Emma Willis, who was previously announced as joining the show. They will form the new hosting duo for season three of the singing competition, which will air next year. The new team replaces previous co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates.
British boy band JLS found fame after coming in second on the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2008. The band earlier this year announced that their next tour and album would be their last.
“I have always been a big fan of the show and love that musicians are given such a great opportunity to reach such a wide audience,” Humes said about The Voice. “I’m thrilled to be working alongside Emma and to be part of a new team on The Voice. It’s going to be even bigger and better.”
Mark Linsey, BBC controller of entertainment commissioning, said about Humes: “I think he and Emma will work really well together. He is perfectly placed to encourage the acts throughout the competition.”
Charlotte Moore, controller of BBC One, added: “Emma and Marvin make a fresh and dynamic presenting team for the new series, and Marvin’s JLS experience makes him well placed to relate to our artists.”

“With two new coaches on board and our two new presenters, it’s going to really mix things up,” said Linsey.
