TORONTO — The management shuffle at Canadian broadcaster Bell Media has reached MTV with the departures of Mark McInnis, vp of production in the Much MTV Group, and Ben Rotterman, director of series and development.
Also leaving the Much MTV Group is Faith Feingold, executive producer, Jason Ford, supervising producer and Sam Dynes, director of production.
The latest departures follow phone giant BCE acquiring the former CTVglobemedia broadcast business late last year, and rebranding it as Bell Media.
Going forward, MTV production will now be overseen by executive producer Alex Sopinka, with responsibility also shared by Nanci Maclean, executive director of CTV specialty production.
“This re-alignment focuses our expertise, avoids duplication of responsibilities, and creates clear reporting lines, allowing for strategic cross-channel synergies,” Rick Brace, president of specialty channels and CTV production, said in an August 17 internal memo outlining the latest management changes.
In addition, Millan Curry-Sharples, vp of comedy at the Comedy Network, has left Bell Media.
That comedy cable channel will now come under the control of Catherine MacLeod, vp of specialty channels, and original comedy projects for Bell Media will be managed by the independent production team under Corrie Coe.
