NBC has pulled the plug on midseason comedy Best Friends Forever, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Created by Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair, who also star, the half-hour series bowed in early April to 4 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo before dipping in the ratings.
“BFF Fans: Wanted to let you know that our show is being taken off the air until the summer. Hoping to post ep 5 & 6 online asap. We love u,” Parham wrote Friday afternoon on Twitter. She followed up by thanking the viewers: “I CANNOT thank you enough for the love and support of our little show. You guys are truly the best.”
Next week, an original episode of hidden-camera series Betty White’s Off Their Rockers will air in BFF‘s Wednesday 8:30 p.m. slot. No airdates have been set for the show’s two remaining episodes.
