Under the rich three-year pact, Molaro will develop new projects for the studio and continue to serve as EP and showrunner on the series created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. Molaro took over showrunning duties on the Emmy-nominated series in season six, guiding the series to new highs both last year and in its current seventh season.
Molaro has been with Big Bang Theory since season one, starting as a producer and writer and rising through the ranks to supervising producer, co-EP and EP/showrunner. He has shared in the CBS series’ three best comedy Emmy nominations as well as its three PGA Award nominations for best comedy.

Before boarding Big Bang, Molaro’s credits included Freddie, The Class, Complete Savages as well as Dan Schneider‘s Drake & Josh, All That and The Amanda Show, What I Like About You, Zoey 101 and iCarly, among others.
Molaro’s deal comes a day after CBS and Warner Bros. Television inked a new licensing deal and renewed Big Bang Theory for three additional seasons, taking the comedy through its 10th season. (For Lorre’s part, the prolific producer behind CBS’ Mom, Mike & Molly and Two and a Half Men inked a four-year overall deal with WBTV in 2012.)
Molaro is repped by WME.
