CBS topped Sunday’s primetime ratings thanks to 60 Minutes and Big Brother — which were, respectively, the most watched show of the night and the No. 1 program among adults 18-49 on the broadcast networks.
Big Brother posted a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic, leading the broadcasters by a significant margin, and 4.04 million total viewers. Both numbers are consistent with its Wednesday and Thursday outings and up from the previous Sunday, when a live golf telecast pushed the show’s start time to 10 p.m. 60 Minutes, meanwhile, led among total viewers with 6.91 million and tied for second (with an America’s Funniest Home Videos rerun on ABC) in the 18-49 demo at 0.6.
NBC aired an NHL playoff game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens in primetime, to modest returns. The game averaged 1.38 million viewers and a 0.4 in adults18-49, pending updates for the live broadcast.
The only other original on the English-language networks was Fridge Wars on The CW, which posted a 0.1 in the demo. Univision’s Spanish-language version of The Masked Singer, ¿Quién Es La Máscara?, averaged a 0.3 in adults 18-49 and 1.33 million viewers.
CBS and ABC, which aired a slate of reruns, tied for the 18-49 lead at 0.5. NBC and Univision tied at 0.4, pending updates for the former. Fox and Telemundo each averaged 0.2, and The CW drew a 0.1.
