Julie Chen Finally Reveals Election Results to ‘Big Brother: Over the Top’ Cast

In Big Brother, the contestants are locked inside a house with no connection to the outside world. And for the first time ever on the show’s inaugural exclusively online edition, Big Brother: Over the Top, they are stuck inside the house on the CBS Radford lot in Los Angeles during a presidential election. 

Prior to their entering the game, The Hollywood Reporter made the houseguests aware of what they would be missing. Said restaurant owner Justin Duncan from New Orleans, “If Trump gets elected, the world is going to come to an end. We might get nuked or some shit. It’s like Hillary or die!”

Added Pepperdine University law school graduate Shelby Stockton, from Arizona, “When I get out that’s going to be the first thing I want to know. Are we going to have the first woman president or do I need to move to Canada?”

But it looks like they won’t have to wait until they get out of the house to find out who won the election. Host Julie Chen used her weekly chat with the houseguests to fill them in on the country’s most important news. “Being part of the inaugural season of Big Brother: Over the Top, you are the first cast to be locked in the Big Brother house during a presidential election. It’s safe to say you are the only six people in the country, maybe the entire world, who do not know who won,” the host told the houseguests.

After taking a poll of who they thought won (five out of six of the houseguests thought it was Hillary Clinton), Chen then broke the news. “With 306 electoral votes the next president of the United States will be, Donald Trump.” Gasps and a “Julie, you’re joking!” quickly followed. 

“Donald Trump won the f—ing presidential election?” a stunned Duncan exclaimed. “I’m going to cry,” added Stockton. “A reality TV star is our president,” a shocked Morgan Willett from Austin added. “Well, I guess we can be president.”

“Gay people, where were you? Minorities, where were you?” said openly gay contestant Jason Roy from Massachusetts. Adding, “Can we just stay in here for the next four years?”
