NEW DELHI — Big CBS Love, the second channel from broadcasting joint venture Big CBS Networks between Reliance Broadcast Networks and CBS Inc., will bow March 21.
In October, 2010, Big CBS announced the launch of its English general entertainment outlet Big CBS Prime, the first of three planned channels.
Big CBS Love is positioned as the “ultimate feel-good channel, targeted at the urban contemporary couple, a destination that both a woman and man would enjoy together,” Reliance Broadcast Networks said in a statement adding that the channel will reach 30 million households on launch.
By contrast Big CBS Prime is primarily aimed at a male audience with shows such as The Defenders and Blue Bloods, and fresh seasons of NCIS, Survivor, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Entertainment Tonight.
Big CBS Love will offer content such such as Oprah Winfrey’s talk show, the latest season of America’s Next Top Model and Everybody Loves Raymond.
Big CBS Networks plans to launch its youth channel Spark next month. Meanwhile, Reliance Broadcast Network – part of Reliance Big Entertainment – is reportedly planning to relaunch Imagine Showbiz (the Bollywood music channel it recently acquired from NDTV Networks) in April with a new name.
