In an appearance on The Rachael Ray Show, Bill O’Reilly admits he relished feuding with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg two weeks ago on The View.
“I knew we would have a lively discussion because those ladies and I, with the exception of Elizabeth Hasselbeck, we kind of see life differently,” O’Reilly says in an interview that airs Thursday, as excerpted by The Huffington Post. “But I never thought that they were going…They headed to the locker room and it wasn’t even half time yet. Where is everybody?”
Behar and Goldberg stormed off the set after the subject of the New York City mosque near Ground Zero came up and O’Reilly said it was inappropriate to have it built because “Muslims killed us on 9/11.”
“When they walked out I was going to myself, ‘this is great,’ because I knew I’d get five segments on the Factor,” he continued. “And I knew I could just take that and I could get three or four shows out of this.”
Sherri Shepherd said later that O’Reillly boasted on-set their feud would boost ratings. Goldberg later apologized for using the expletive bullshit on air.
On Tuesday, Behar lost her temper again when discussing Nevada senate candidate Sharron Angle‘s campaign ad, which has been accused of being racist because it features Hispanic men and refers to illegal aliens.
