The Blacklist‘s current manhunt is heading for a very big finish.
On the NBC drama, Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) remain on the lam after Liz killed Tom Connolly (Reed Birney) in the season-two finale. Last week’s episode saw the pair eluding Samar Navabi (Mozhan Marno) and Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and ending up in a secret house.

Marno tells The Hollywood Reporter that this week’s episode involves a closer look at new baddie Mr. Solomon (Edi Gathegi), whom Marno calls a “nefarious character.”
“Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) is going to have some things to contend with in this episode,” she says. “Ressler and I continue to be on Red and Liz’s tail. We catch up to them, but it’s always like they’re one step ahead. (Laughs.)”
The actress calls the episode “bloody and exciting” and hints that the chase storyline is eventually “going to have to come to a head — there will be some kind of culmination of the chase.”
Marno, who joined the show in season two, praises the writers for switching things up from the two previous seasons and providing something of a “Blacklist reboot” for season three.
“[The writers have] done a pretty great job of busting open the war room and busting open the established structure of the show, and all bets are off,” she continues. “Everybody’s going a little rogue. This season, everyone’s all over the place.”
The Blacklist airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
