‘Boardwalk Empire’ Alum to Star in USA’s ‘Paradise Pictures’

Paradise Pictures has found its leading man.

Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire) has signed on to star in the USA Network period drama pilot from Suits duo Aaron Korsch and Rick Muirragui, the network announced Monday.

USA first ordered the pilot for Paradise Pictures in late April. The series centers on ambitious people striving to get to the top in 1940s Hollywood, when the dream factory was at its peak. Little do they know the challenges they’re about to face: the end of the studio monopolies, the blacklist and the new disruptive technology of television.

Spector will play Tom Kirby, the head of production at Paradise Pictures, a rising film studio in 1946 Hollywood. Although he doesn’t own the studio, it’s clear to everyone in town that he is in charge and that he is not afraid to get his hands dirty in order to elevate the studio into prominence.

Paradise hails from Universal Cable Productions, with Muirragui attached to pen the script and exec produce alongside Suits showrunner Korsh.  

In addition to his role as Frank Capone on Boardwalk, Spector’s credits include Allegiance, Person of Interest and The Last Airbender.
