Fox’s Sunday lineup reached or tied season highs across the board thanks to a big lead-in from the network’s late-afternoon NFL game.
The Simpsons earned a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49, a full point better than its previous high for the season. Bob’s Burgers (1.8) was half a point ahead of its best outing of the season. Family Guy‘s 1.5 was also a season high, topping the 1.2 for last week and the season premiere, while Rel tied its high of 0.8.
A Sunday edition of The Flash, which kicked off the network’s “Elseworlds” superhero crossover, scored a 0.6 — on par with the show’s usual Tuesday performance but ahead of Supergirl‘s average (0.4) in Sunday timeslot. Charmed held steady at 0.3.
Sunday Night Football led the night for NBC, per usual. The Chicago Bears’ win over the Los Angeles Rams delivered a 13.0 rating in metered-market households, up 12 percent vs. the same week in 2017. Including the Thanksgiving night game, SNF has beat the prior year’s preliminary numbers in 11 of the past 14 telecasts.
CBS’ 60 Minutes (0.9), God Friended Me (0.8), NCIS: Los Angeles (0.8) and Madam Secretary (0.6) were all on par with their last outings without a national NFL lead-in. At ABC, America’s Funniest Home Videos (0.6) had a season low, and the finale of Dancing With the Stars: Juniors (0.6) and Shark Tank (0.7) were even with a week ago.
NBC’s 4.3 rating in the 18-49 demo (pending updates) led the night. Fox took second with a 3.4, also pending updates. CBS averaged 0.8 and ABC 0.6.
