Unforgettable is adding a “real husband” of Hollywood to the mix.
Boris Kodjoe, who starred in BET’s satirical comedy Real Husbands of Hollywood, has joined the CBS procedural’s third season in a guest turn, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
First appearing in the premiere airing June 29, Kodjoe will play Secret Service Agent Benjamin Hernandez. In the episode, Benjamin informs the Major Case team that he and his partner, Agent Briggs, are taking over the murder case because of its connection to a federal counterfeit case they’ve been working on called “Mata Hari.” Adversarial and territorial at first, Benjamin comes to appreciate the team, especially Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery).
Filming for season three begins next week in New York City.
Kodjoe is repped by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment. He toplined NBC’s shortlived spy drama Undercovers and prior to that starred in Showtime’s Soul Food and UPN’s Second Time Around. Other credits include features Baggage Claim, Resident Evil franchise, Surrogates and Madea’s Family Reunion.
Unforgettable returns for the remainder of its sophomore season April 4 on CBS.
