Brad Bessey has been promoted to executive producer of Entertainment Tonight and The Insider. The promotion, effective immediately, was announced Monday by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, president of creative affairs for CBS Television Distribution.
Bessey takes the job that for many years was done by Linda Bell Blue, who was promoted to a new role as head of Entertainment Tonight Studios in November.
“After more than 15 years in the ET-Insider family, Brad knows ET inside and out and is the perfect person to continue to grow the brand and keep the show on top,” said Estey McLoughlin. “He’s got a great vision and the leadership skills to oversee both ET and The Insider and to maximize the extraordinary talent, staffs and resources of both shows.”
DJ Petroro, ET’s current executive producer, will be leaving the show. “I want to thank DJ for all of his contributions to the enduring success of ET and previously The Insider,” added Estey McLoughlin.
CTD also announced Monique Chenault joins The Insider as co-executive producer. Linda Fuller continues with ET as an executive producer.
