Garret Dillahunt is returning to Fox.
Less than a year after Raising Hope ended its run, Dillahunt is going back to the network for a guest turn on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
On the second-year cop comedy, Dillahunt will play a detective described as the best in the NYPD — a guy whom both Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) would do anything to impress. Not surprisingly, the ace detective will become a potential love interest for Amy, bringing out Jake’s jealous side.
An exact date for Dillahunt’s episode has yet to be worked out, but it will likely run this season in the spring. He’ll appear in one episode for the time being.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine role marks Dillahunt’s latest guest gig. He’s currently recurring on the final season of FX’s Justified and has a starring role on Amazon’s upcoming drama series Hand of God, opposite Ron Perlman.
Dillahunt is repped by UTA, D2 Management and Stone Meyer.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays on Fox.
