Courtesy of UTABrooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Dan Goor is putting down roots.
Goor has inked a two-year overall deal with Brooklyn studio Universal Television. Under the pact, he will continue serving as an executive producer on the Fox half-hour, which earned a Golden Globe for best comedy series earlier this year.
“Dan Goor is a gifted writer and showrunner who has delivered for us in a big way with our critically acclaimed and growing hit Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” said Universal TV executive vp Bela Bajaria, adding: “Universal Television is incredibly fortunate to have Dan on board to continue to grow this terrific asset for us.”

Before co-creating Brooklyn with Mike Schur, Goor served first as a writer on The Office and then as an executive producer on Parks and Recreation. Before entering the scripted comedy world, Goor was a writer on Late Night With Conan O’Brien and The Daily Show for five seasons and three seasons, respectively.
