Camille Grammer is setting the record straight on why she won’t return for a third helping of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The well-groomed ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer, who transformed from reality-show villain to no-drama saint over the course of two seasons, told E! Online that it was her decision to drop out of the series.
“I was not fired,” Grammer said. “I didn’t want to expose my personal life so much anymore. I had done that and was over that. I care very much for my family and children and that show tends to take me away from them. I really want to focus on them right now.”

Grammer, whose split from the Frasier actor was chronicled on season one, said she’s in “a really good place right now” with new boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos, and wants to keep her private life private. She has two children with her ex — as well as half of his fortune, post-divorce.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time working with the girls and I will miss the camaraderie,” she admitted. “I enjoyed the producers and Bravo. I’m upset about that part.”
(In an earlier interview with Us Weekly, Grammer, 43, said she didn’t want to say goodbye just yet, noting: “I’ve had so much fun with the franchise, but I guess the producers and I couldn’t come to an agreement.”)
Grammer co-starred alongside siblings-slash-live wires Kyle and Kim Richards (with whom she formerly clashed), restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump (a walking Jackie Collins novel), Adrienne Maloof (super-rich, like Camille), Taylor Armstrong (whose tragic personal life dominated much of season two) and the potty-mouthed Brandi Glanville, a recurring character who will no doubt continue to stir up trouble as the show’s new drama magnet.
