The Netflix series has enlisted The Matrix alum Carrie-Anne Moss, Marvel announced Monday.
The comic book drama is one of four shows centering on Marvel heroes that Netflix has picked up straight to series. The streaming service has committed to a minimum of four 13-episode series, which will begin rolling out in 2015, first with Daredevil, followed by Jessica Jones.
Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 alum Krysten Ritter will star as the title character, who, after a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York.

Moss will play a no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica — if Jessica doesn’t completely alienate her first.
Moss, whose TV credits also include CBS’ Vegas, joins a cast that also includes Grey’s Anatomy alum Rachael Taylor as comics character Patricia Walker; former Doctor Who and Broadchurch star David Tennant, who is set as villain Killgrave; and The Good Wife‘s Mike Colter, who will play Luke Cage. Twilight‘s Melissa Rosenberg will oversee Jessica Jones.
Moss, whose feature work includes Memento, Pompeii, Disturbia, Fido and Chocolat, is repped by WME, Elizabeth Hodgson Management and Kleinberg Lange.
