Warner Bros. Animation has released the first teaser for Cartoon Network’s upcoming Beware the Batman animated series.
Beware, which incorporates Batman’s core characters with new villains previously unseen in animated form, also features the hero receiving backup from former secret agent Alfred and swordstress Katana.
STORY: Cartoon Network, Warners Partner for DC Programming Block
The thriller features CGI visuals, intricate twists and turns and puts the DC Comics hero in the spotlight for a new generation of fans.
Due next year, the series will air on Cartoon Network as part of its DC Nation block.
“DC Nation on Cartoon Network will be the first-ever dedicated broadcast destination to showcase the depth and breadth of the DC Universe,” DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson said in March 2011 when the programming block was first announced. “We and our partners at WBTV are thrilled that fans will be able to immerse themselves in DC’s phenomenal stories, experience a wide spectrum of amazing characters and stay up-to-date on the latest happenings of the world’s greatest superheroes and their creators, both on-air and online.”
Check out the teaser, above. How do you think this compares to Batmans of the past?
