Catastrophe‘s first season aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and was picked up by Amazon Studios to stream on Prime Instant Video in the United States. Amazon released the pilot episode of Catastrophe on Facebook on June 15 — two days before its full-season premiere on Amazon — and during its two-day run on the social network the pilot received more than 3 million views.
Hailing from Avalon Television, Catastrophe stars Delaney and Horgan as an American man and Irish woman in London who struggle to start a relationship after she gets pregnant. The series is produced by Jack Bayles and directed by Ben Taylor. Delaney and Horgan executive produce alongside Richard Allen-Turner, Kara Baker and Jon Thoday. Birdbath Productions and Merman co-produce.
