Fresh off its pilot order for Madam Secretary, CBS is adding another comedy offering to its haul.
The network has picked up couple counseling comedy Good Session from Chuck alum Matt Miller and I Love You Man‘s John Hamburg.
The project, which landed at CBS in September with a put-pilot commitment, centers on a happy couple that goes to see a therapist to help them decide if they should have a baby — but they quickly discover that they have much more to discuss.
Miller and Hamburg will pen the script and executive produce the single-camera comedy from Warner Bros. Television; Hamburg will direct the pilot.

This marks Miller’s second pilot order so far this season. The Chuck and 666 Park Avenue alum also is teaming with Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz for Forever, a medical examiner drama set up at ABC.
Both Miller and Hamburg had multiple sales this past development season. Hamburg also has feature film Brother From Another Mother set up at Fox and single-camera comedy The Henchman at Fox. Miller, meanwhile, is producing and supervising drama Bad Guys at Fox.
Good Session marks CBS’ fifth comedy pilot order so far this season. It joins an untitled Jim Gaffigan comedy and The McCarthys, which were rolled from last year; Taxi-22; and How I Met Your Mother offshoot, How I Met Your Dad.
