Like its rivals, CBS is getting into the Greg Berlanti business.
The network has ordered his cop drama Golden Boy to pilot. The project is about the making of a man – tracks one cop’s meteoric rise from officer to detective to Police Commissioner.
Some have dubbed the project, which had multiple bidders earlier this development season, The Good Wife with a young cop.

The pilot is set up at Warner Brothers TV, home to Berlanti’s new overall deal. Earlier this month, Fox ordered Berlanti’s legal drama Guilty to pilot while the CW picked up his DC Comics-inspired Green Arrow project Arrow to pilot.
Wootton, whose other credits include Chuck, Prison Break and Law & Order, and Berlanti are both repped by WME.
