CBS and AMC have snatched up a pack of new dramas for their joint channel venture, the awkwardly named CBS AMC Networks EMEA Channels Partnership, which reaches viewers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The new deal will see series, including seasons 1 through 3 of The Borgias and the first two seasons of The Good Wife, broadcast on the group’s branded CBS Drama channel in the region. For its CBS Action channel, new pick ups included seasons one and two of NCIS and CSI: NY as well as the first three seasons of Blue Bloods. All the series in the agreement have previously aired on pay or free TV channels in the region.
The deal, announced Jan. 26, is a further indication that the market for syndication-style licensing in Europe continues to grow with the fragmentation of the market into ever more specialty channels.
