CBS is gearing up for summer.
The network on Thursday unveiled the premiere dates for its new and returning series, including unscripted hit Big Brother and James Patterson drama Zoo as well as forthcoming suspense thriller Salvation and game show Candy Crush, based on the popular mobile game of the same name.
Salvation, which hails from Peter Lenkov (Hawaii Five-0), Alex Kurtzman (Scorpion) and showrunners Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro (Extant), will debut Wednesday, July 12, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The forthcoming asteroid drama will get a boost from lead-in Big Brother, which once again will air on three nights, including Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Big Brother 19 will kick off on Wednesday, June 28, at 8 p.m., followed by its first Thursday premiere on June 29 at 9 p.m. and concluding with its Sunday season premiere on July 2 at 8 p.m.
On Sundays, Big Brother will also serve as the lead-in for first-year live-action game show Candy Crush, which launches Sunday, July 9, at 9 p.m.
CBS’ sole returning summer scripted drama, Zoo, will move to a new night: Thursdays at 10 p.m. beginning June 29.
Additionally, CBS will move reruns of NCIS: Los Angeles and Criminal Minds to new time slots for the summer: Sundays at 10 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10 p.m., respectively.
