Chris Ender and Dana McClintock have been promoted to executive vp’s, communications, for CBS Corp., it was announced Thursday by Gil Schwartz, CBS’ executive vp of corporate communications and chief communications officer.
Ender, based in Los Angeles, will continue his involvement with content and distribution activities for TV production, syndication, international TV, pay cable, Internet and feature films.
McClintock, based in New York City, will continue his focus on corporate, network, interactive and local radio, TV and outdoor.
“Chris and Dana are two of the brightest, most forward-thinking executives in the business,” said Schwartz. “Each is an incredibly gifted strategist and manager who has grown over the years to become the best that this business – any business, in fact – has to offer. Together, working closely with the senior management of the Company across its many divisions, they have successfully helped to transform the perception of CBS from that of a simple broadcasting company into a leading content creator on the world stage. I am very proud to promote them both to these well-deserved positions, and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
Ender joined CBS in 1996 after working at Sony Television and Bender, Goldman & Helper PR. He has overseen publicity launches for such shows as CSI, NCIS, Everybody Loves Raymond, Two And A Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.
McClintock joined CBS in 1993 to work on the launch of The Late Show with David Letterman. He also worked on the Winter Olympics from Nagano, Japan. He spent a year at ABC News in 1996 before returning to CBS.
