Charlie Sheen has moved to trademark 22 of his catchphrases, including “Duh, Winning,” “Vatican Assassin,” “Tiger Blood” and “Rock Star From Mars,” records show.
Hyro-gliff — a company with ties to the actor — filed trademark applications between March 19-22, seeking protection for everything from bras, drinks, electronic games, candy and even gambling machines.
The company also seeks to trademark Sheen’s name and signature, and his nicknames for his home, “Sober Valley Lodge,” and his girlfriends, “Sheen’s Goddesses.”
If granted, any potential uses of the trademarks will be determined later.
Sheen isn’t a complete novice when it comes to the trademark arena. In the late 1990s, Sheen set up a company called Masheen Inc. and attempted to trademark the phrase, “Drugs Are Loser Friendly” for flyers, stickers, t shirts, mugs, and other items. In 2005, Sheen’s company, Three Dog Park, filed a trademark application for “Sheen Kidz,” a line of couture children’s sportswear that apparently did big business in Japan.
Meanwhile, Sheen returns to his tour tonight, performing in Cleveland, Ohio.
Expect to see some changes from his first two gigs in Detroit and Chicago. Sheen told E! News Monday: “There’s a couple of things here I’ve got to f—ing work out. I don’t know if I start the show alone and it turns into this [a Q&A format] or I just stay with this ‘cause it’s f—ing working and we’ll f—ing return to it if I don’t.”
