Footage of a top television station president allegedly accepting bribes at the front door of his home is making waves among Chinese Internet users.
Titled “A Cangnan Official Taking Bribes,” the 99-second clip was anonymously uploaded onto Chinese streaming video sites. It shows a middle-aged man, said to be Wu Weimin, head of Cangnan TV station, accepting packages of various sizes from people who visit his home.

Cangnan is a county in Zhejiang province in China’s far east.
The video also shows Wu’s wife and his driver accepting packages from unnamed visitors, allegedly on the TV head’s behalf. The footage appears to be composed of surveillance video and several still photos.
Wu has been president of the Cangnan county television station since June 2012, according a local government website. He was previously a party secretary of Cangnan’s arts and culture association.

According to China’s Southern Metropolis Daily, a propaganda official with the country’s Communist Party anti-graft agency confirmed on Monday that they are investigating the allegations made in the video, but said viewers shouldn’t make assumptions. The paper cited other local media reports that claimed the footage was taken at the swanky residential compound where Wu and his wife live.
The video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times since it was uploaded to top Chinese streaming video site, Youku, about two weeks ago. It has since popped up on scores of other Chinese video sites.
