Cindie Nemes has been named vp development at Los Angeles-based production-distribution company Rive Gauche Television.
Nemes, who most recently was most recently vp development at Scott Messick’s Mess Media, will be charged with developing and selling original programming for the U.S. market.
The appointments come as Rive Gauche looks to continue expanding its domestic television presence as well as its international catalog of unscripted content.
Rive Gauche currently produces Pit Bulls & Parolees (in association with 44 Blue Productions), now in its fifth season on Animal Planet, and has a game show in development at CBS.
“Cindie’s diverse background as a producer, a development exec, a network exec and studio exec, combined with her strong relationships in the industry make her an ideal fit for an entrepreneurial company like Rive Gauche,” said David Auerbach, president of Rive Gauche Television.
At Mess Media, Nemes created and produced Lego Masters for TLC, Ultimate LEGO Challenge for Discovery, Rick Baker: Master of Makeup for G4, Survivor’s Club for History Channel and Size Matters for Oxygen.
Before Mess Media, Nemes worked in development at ABC’s SoapNet and Tribune Entertainment.
