Fox Broadcasting is on the hunt for a new chief marketing officer. Angela Courtin is leaving to pursue other opportunities in what one source described as an amicable departure.
The CMO, who joined the network on the eve of the 2015-16 TV season, will remain in her post for several weeks to help with the transition, though there is no immediate replacement lined up.
Courtin came over to the network from Relativity in the midst of the latter’s summer 2015 bankruptcy filing. She was originally brought in by Fox TV Group COO Joe Earley to help pick up some of the marketing duties he’d dropped in his expanded role at the company. (Earley announced he was stepping down later in 2015 and has since been named president of Gail Berman’s Jackal Group.)
The network’s search for a replacement is said to already be underway, but the executive ranks of the marketing department have not been without their recent additions. FBC hired Tommy Gargotta as exec vp creative marketing in February.
