Courtesy of USA NetworkUSA’s new drama Colony takes place in contemporary Los Angeles, but the similarities between this world and that of the show are few and far between.
In the series, from Carlton Cuse and starring Josh Holloway, L.A. exists in a state of occupation by a force of outside intruders. Some people choose to collaborate with the authorities and benefit from the new order, while others rebel and suffer the consequences.
Holloway and co-star Sarah Wayne Callies play a husband and wife desperate to find their son, from whom they were separated during the invasion.

In The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive video, both are seen going to extreme lengths in a very grim alternate reality. “The invasion is over, but the fight has just begun,” the video teases.
