Comedy Central is ordering more Idiotsitter.
The series starring Jillian Bell and Charlotte Newhouse has been renewed for a second season. Executive produced by Bell, Newhouse, Pam Kohl, Amy Slomovits, Dave Becky, Brady McKay and John Levenstein, Idiotsitter‘s 10-episode season two will debut in 2017.
The first season followed Billie (Newhouse), a cash-strapped, straight and narrow Ivy League grad, who reluctantly answered a babysitting ad to make ends meet, only to find out what is actually needed is a court-appointed guardian for Gene (Bell), an heiress under house arrest in her daddy’s mansion.
Season one wrapped in March with Gene and Billie in handcuffs. The pair will be moving on to their next adventure in season two — a college campus.
“I don’t know what it is about that title, but it just resonates for me,” Comedy Central president Kent Alterman said Monday in a statement.
“We’re so excited to get to do this again,” added Bell and Newhouse. “It’s literally the most fun we’ve ever had in our lives. Hopefully the new college atmosphere will broaden our minds and teach us how to butt chug.”
