Glee is indeed headed to Comic-Con.
The Fox musical dramedy will make its fourth trip to San Diego next month when Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera will join executive producer Brad Falchuk for a panel set for Saturday night.
The announcement comes after the series was initially left off of studio 20th Television’s initial lineup and after the series made headlines last year when showrunners dispelled a THR report that stars Michele, Monteith and Chris Colfer would not be departing the series — only to see co-creator Ryan Murphy confirm initial story days after the fan convention.

Glee‘s 2012 Comic-Con panel will also see the series move from last year’s home on Sunday morning in Hall H to Saturday, July 14 from 6-7 p.m. in the much-smaller Indigo Room at the nearby Hilton, which seats about 1,700.

“The fans at Comic-Con were among the first to really get behind our show, and we’ve had such a great time returning there every summer,” said Glee co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk. “This was the first year our cast has not gone out on tour, so Ryan and I thought we’d let them have some well-deserved time off. But everyone wanted to be there, and we couldn’t be happier to report that Glee is returning to the convention where we feel it all started.”

Michele, Monteith and Colfer will return to Glee for its upcoming fourth season; the cast is currently awaiting word to determine the length of their roles as some are expected to recur while others will land series regular roles.
