A pair of comics showed up to the offices of LA Weekly Monday to counterprotest the Westboro Baptist Church, whose members were carrying a “Harris in Hell” sign, a reference to the late Parks and Recreation producer Harris Wittels.
Chelsea Peretti posted a Vine video of Joe Mande holding up a $100 bill near WBC’s protest, with the caption “JOE MANDE TRYIN 2 BUY HARRIS IN HELL SIGN FROM THE HOMIES AT WESTBORO.”
Mande tweeted before the demonstration, “Goddammit Harris the Westboro Baptist Church just called you a ‘f– enabler’ and you’re not here to see it.”

The WBC announced a series of protests against various media outlets in Los Angeles last week, including The Hollywood Reporter, TMZ, and LA Weekly.
Wittels passed away last week from a suspected overdose. He was 30.
Instead of graffiti, how about you plaster our signs all over your building, @laweekly?? #LiveTweet pic.twitter.com/k7ciNDoUOw
