Ratings for The Conners improved a little with a Halloween episode Tuesday, and the rest of ABC’s comedy block rose as well.
The Conners posted a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 with its Halloween outing — carrying on a tradition from predecessor Roseanne. The show rose a tenth of a point versus last week. The Kids Are Alright improved by 0.2 to 1.3, nearly matching its premiere rating; Black-ish (1.1) and Splitting Up Together (0.9) also grew by two-tenths apiece without the World Series as competition. The Rookie held steady at 0.8.
This Is Us led the night in the 18-49 demo with a 2.1 rating for NBC, even with last week. The Voice also matched its week-ago rating of 1.6, but New Amsterdam fell slightly to 1.3.
Both NCIS (1.3) and NCIS: New Orleans (0.9) tacked on a tenth of a point for CBS, and NCIS was the evening’s most-watched program with 12.14 million viewers. FBI recorded its fourth straight 1.0.
On Fox, The Gifted matched the 0.6 for its last episode two weeks ago, but Lethal Weapon fell a tenth to a series-low 0.6. The Flash came in at 0.6 and Black Lightning at 0.3 for The CW.
NBC led the network race with a 1.7 in the 18-49 demo. ABC and CBS tied for second at 0.5. Fox’s 0.6 narrowly beat The CW’s 0.5 for fourth place.
