George Eads‘ Nick Stokes is staying put.
The actor has inked a new deal with CBS Television Studios to remain on the network’s long-running CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Eads, Paul Guilfoyle‘s Capt. Jim Brass and Eric Szmanda‘s Greg Sanders are the only three actors who have been part of the main cast of the Carol Mendelsohn procedural since its inception in 2000.
News of Eads’ one-year deal to remain with the series, which was renewed in March for a 13th season, comes after a tumultuous year for CSI. In addition to moving from its longtime Thursday time slot to Wednesdays, the billion-dollar franchise saw Ted Danson take over for Laurence Fishburne at the beginning of the season, later being joined by Elisabeth Shue, who replaced Marg Helgenberger.
Eads is repped by Innovative and Shelter Entertainment.
