The CW is going on an adventure.
The young female-skewing network has given script orders to Golddigger, an hourlong adventure series that’s part Indiana Jones and part National Treasure.
The drama, from Rizzoli & Isles executive producer Bill Haber and his Ostar Productions, will revolve around a young female treasure hunter who tracks down artifacts for a variety of mysterious and interesting clients.
The Day After Tomorrow’s Stephanie Germain will executive produce, with Lauren Horowitz (Abducted: Fugitive for Life) is attached to pen the project.
Golddigger joins a development slate that includes the Sex and the City prequel The Carrie Diaries, a Beauty and the Beast remake, Deadman, an untitled Truth or Dare drama and a pair of projects from CSI’s Carol Mendelsohn, among others.
Haber and Germain are repped by CAA; Horowitz is managed by Plumeria Entertainment.
