Community creator Dan Harmon is heading back to the tube. The axed showrunner, who currently has projects in the works at CBS and Fox, is moving forward an Adult Swim pilot.
The network has given a 10-episode order to Rick and Morty, as first noted by co-creator Justin Roiland. The half-hour animated series, which received a pilot order at Adult Swim’s May upfront, will premiere on Cartoon Network’s late-night block some time in 2014.

Rick and Morty follows a brilliant inventor (Morty), his dim grandson (Rick) and the adventures they share.
Harmon, who lost his Community job in May, currently has a script deal at CBS and a comedy pilot in the works at Fox.
The fourth season of Community, with David Guarascio and Moses Port filling Harmon’s old shoes, does not have a premiere date at NBC.
