This season of Dancing With the Stars is getting to be somewhat dangerous.
First, Kirstie Alley and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, took a spill after his leg gave out; the next week she nearly lost her show mid-performance.
And on Monday night, Ralph Macchio’s professional partner, Karina Smirnoff, took a fall while doing the paso doble to C&C Music Factory’s “Everybody Dance Now.” (The night was themed “guilty pleasures.”)
But the two managed to get back on their feet and finish the dance, earning praise from judge Len Goodman. Still, they scored only 24 points out of 30, landing them in fifth place out of six pairs. Watch video of their performance above.

Also during the episode, it was revealed that Chelsea Kane’s partner, Mark Ballas, had twisted his ankle during dress rehearsals. Yet they managed to score 28 points for their quickstep to Katrina and the Waves’ “Walking on Sunshine,” tying Romeo and Chelsie Hightower for first place. The latter pair performed the waltz to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”
Meanwhile, Hines Ward and partner Kym Johnson trailed the leaders by only one point, earning a score of 27 for their Viennese waltz, performed to Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road.”
Alley and Chmerkovskiy earned 26 points for their samba performance to Britney Spears’ “… Baby One More Time,” while Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel scored a 25 for their samba, done to Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca.”
Coming in last place with 22 points were Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke, who danced the tango to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
