Who will be hitting the ballroom floor when Dancing with the Stars returns in September? The world may have to wait and see, but speculation sure is rampant as the upcoming season draws closer.

The Internet is buzzing with casting rumors regarding the new fall crop, which include E! reality star Rob Kardashian and Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. ABC, however, is keeping mum on the next batch of contestants.
A show rep tells The Hollywood Reporter: “We don’t comment on casting rumors. The new cast of Dancing with the Stars will be announced in late August.”

Other stars showing up on the DWTS rumors radar include recording artist Christina Milian, LA Laker Ron Artest and Mike Tyson, fresh off his The Hangover: Part 2 appearance. Even Regis Philbin got in on the action, announcing on Live with Regis & Kelly that he had been invited to partake in the reality competition.
In addition to conflicting reports on the show’s casting, there’s also speculation surrounding the return of several of the series’ professionals.

After a brief hiatus, Derek Hough is expected to return to the show to try and reclaim the mirror ball trophy, which he won with Nicole Scherzinger in Season 10 and Jennifer Grey in Season 11. Also expected to return to the dance floor are Chelsie Hightower and Kym Johnson.
Whoever the new dancers are, we can see them in action when DWTS returns to ABC on September 19, 2011.
