Saturday Night Live has landed a big name for it’s first post-election show.
Dave Chappelle is set to make his hosting debut on Nov. 12, it was announced Friday.
Chappelle, best known for his acclaimed Comedy Central series in addition to his stand-up, has rarely made TV or other public appearance in the years since he abruptly left Chappelle’s Show in 2005 and the series ended the following year. In recent years, he has returned to stand-up, most famously performing 10 nights at Radio City Music Hall in June 2014, and even appeared in Spike Lee’s 2015 film Chi-Raq.
A Tribe Called Quest, who are about to release their first album in 18 years, will serve as the musical guest.
SNL will next welcome Benedict Cumberbatch for his hosting debut on Nov. 5.
