CBS is staying in business with David Barrett.
The veteran TV producer-director has signed a first-look deal with CBS Television Studios. Under the agreement, he will continue to serve as a co-executive producer and helmer on CBS’ Blue Bloods, in addition to developing new projects for broadcast, cable and streaming services.
Barrett is also an exec producer on CBS’ Protect and Serve, an in-the-works drama about a Mexican-American family with deep roots in Los Angeles who are intertwined with the LAPD. His directing credits include episodes of Arrow, Once Upon a Time, Castle and The Mentalist.
At CBS TV Studios, Barrett joins a roster of producers with overall deals that includes Jane the Virgin‘s Gina Rodriguez and Jennie Snyder Urman, Madam Secretary‘s Barbara Hall, Hawaii Five-0’s Peter Lenkov, The Good Fight’s Robert and Michelle King and Elementary‘s Rob Doherty.
Barrett is repped by CAA.
