The remaining crews on Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew will face a new challenge on tonight’s episode, as they create show-stopping routines to the music of David Guetta.
The French DJ stopped by the Warner Bros. studios to dole out the tasks in person, declaring that each crew should “make it count” when it comes to their latest performance.
“I haven’t seen the show before [because] I don’t live in American and, to be honest, I don’t really watch TV because I’m always making beats,” Guetta told The Hollywood Reporter while on set. “But I had a great time, really. That was really exciting.”
During his stay, the hitmaker was treated to an impromptu show from the pint sized 8 Flavahz crew, ranging in age from 10- to 17-years-old.
“I’m totally amazed!” Guetta gushed after the performance. “The way of their bodies, the way they move and the attitudes they have, it’s incredible at that age. I’m shocked really.”
The Honolulu-based 8 Flavahz will face off with Gilbert, AZ natives Elektrolytes and the Los Angeles-based Mos Wanted Crew in the penultimate competition. Among the songs slated for the show are “Without You,” “Turn Me On” and “Memories.”
“ ’Without You’ has really good potential because it has almost like ballad moments and then it goes into that dance, high-level energy,” Guetta said. “All those songs, I make songs that want to make people dance. That’s what I do. I’m a DJ.”
“I usually sit in clubs, but to see it with professional dancers… It’s amazing. It’s beautiful,” he continued.
