Demi Moore is headed to Amazon.
The actress will star in and and executive produce Dirty Diana, based on the QCode podcast of the same name. Moore also voices the main character in the podcast.
Amazon won rights to the podcast in a competitive situation and will develop it as a potential series. Dirty Diana has ranked among the top 10 fiction podcasts on Apple’s podcast platform since its August debut.
The audio series is loosely based on an incident from creator Shana Feste’s marriage and explores how two partners can find their way back to one another with perseverance, connection and sex. The podcast’s goal is to portray sex and longing from a female gaze.
Feste (2014’s Endless Love, Country Strong) and Jennifer Besser are writing the Amazon project, with Feste also attached to direct. They also executive produce, via their Quiet Girl Productions, along with Moore; QCode’s Rob Herting; Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger and Justin Levy of Automatik; and Jason Weinberg.
The podcast has a A-list roster of voice actors that includes Carmen Ejogo, Mackenzie Davis, Dayo Okeniyi, Betsy Brandt, Max Greenfield, Claes Bang, Penelope Ann Miller, John Tenney, Rhys Wakefield and Dolly Wells. So far Moore is the only actor attached to the Amazon adaptation.
Moore is repped by CAA, Untitled Entertainment and Gang Tyre. Feste is repped by Grandview and Marks Law Group.
