Showtime’s Dexter is building up quite the religious following for Michael C. Hall’s titular character to battle this season.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Jordana Spiro has booked a multiepisode arc on the Showtime drama as a devoted follower of Colin Hanks’ Travis and Edward James Olmos’ Professor Gellar, as first reported by TV Line.
Olmos’ Gellar is a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies, while Hanks’ Travis will be Dexter’s central nemesis – a highly intelligent ancient artifacts expert who is linked to a series of grisly slayings in Miami.

My Boys star Spiro most recently appeared on NBC’s Harry’s Law.
Dexter premieres Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
