Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency is adding to its ranks for season two.
Alan Tudyk, John Hannah (Agents of SHIELD), Amanda Walsh (Lost Girl) and Aleks Paunovic (War for the Planet of the Apes) have signed on for the upcoming season of the BBC America series.
Tudyk will play Mr. Priest, a ruthless, dangerous and violent bounty hunter working for Blackwing. The sci-fi favorite, whose credits include Rogue One, Firefly and the DC comedy Powerless, is repped by The Coronel Group and attorney Bob Myman.
Hannah is set as The Mage, a powerful wizard who takes great pleasure in doing evil and is seeking to conquer a world not his own. The actor’s credits include The Mummy and he is repped by ARG Talent and Artists Rights Group.
Walsh will portray Suzie Boreton, an unassuming, insecure, depressed soccer mom who is selected for an unexpected role by the Mage, and gradually reveals her true, terrifying self to our heroes. The actress, whose credits include Disturbia, Ghost of Girlfriends Past and Sons and Daughters, is repped by ICM Partners, 3 Arts and ETM.
Paunovic rounds out the group as Wygar Oak, a dominating enforcer for the Dengdamor royal family. The actor’s credits include Van Helsing and Supernatural. Paunovic is repped by SMS Talent, Trisko Talent Management and Wright Entertainment.
The quartet join the recently cast Tyler Labine (Deadbeat, Reaper) and reunites Tudyk with his Tucker and Dale vs. Evil co-star.
From writer Max Landis (American Ultra, Chronicle) and executive producer Robert Cooper (Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe), Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency stars Elijah Wood and Samuel Barnett and is adapted from the popular novels by Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy). The 10-episode second season is set to premiere later this year on BBC America.
