Loki is back and up to his old antics in a new trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series under the character’s name that focuses on the Marvel (most of the time) villain.
Running more than two minutes long, the preview shows the series will catch up with the character in the aftermath of him stealing the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame, thereby splitting the timeline.
The series features Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Richard E. Grant and Owen Wilson, whose Time Variance Authority character in the trailer has some hilarious banter with star Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.
The series was created and written by Michael Waldron, with Kate Herron directing. It is Marvel Studios’ third series, following WandaVision, which bowed in January, and running currently, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.
Marvel Studios has 10 Disney+ shows slated for the next few years, with Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel expected to bow in 2021.
Loki will premiere June 11 on Disney+.
